HOW YOU can IMPACT

the Future of Learn by Doing

With your support, our students learn by working closely with faculty in labs and classrooms on campus as well as in the field, the community and even in other countries.

Create Their Exceptional Experiences

Our students do more than just earn a degree. They use equipment that most undergraduates never touch. They help real people in communities through unique programs. They step foot in the habitat of the endangered species they’re studying. Ultimately, they discover their passions and become innovators and leaders in science, medicine, math, data and education. This, and more, is what you will make happen.

You can help us ensure the future of Learn by Doing in the Bailey College.

Academic Excellence

Impactful student learning and growth happens in the lab, field, classroom, or sometimes in another country — and your gift can make that possible. Donating to the Bailey College Learn by Doing Fund or individual department funds are excellent ways to support faculty innovation, student learning assistants, classroom equipment and hands-on experiences that define a Cal Poly education. Give today and enhance Learn by Doing.

Undergraduate Research

Research is one of the most transformative experiences for our undergrads. It builds belonging, deepens mentorship and accelerates a student’s understanding of how their coursework connects to the world after graduation. Working in small groups alongside faculty, they actively contribute to discoveries that advance scholarship and solve real problems in science, math and education. Your support funds student stipends, supplies, conference travel and faculty time that makes this meaningful work possible. Invest in the next generation of scientists, mathematicians and researchers.

Innovation Initiative Fund

The Bailey College Innovation Initiative prepares students to enter California’s workforce ready to lead through mentoring, career programming, embedded internships and direct connections to industry partners. Your gift supports the Bailey Alumni Mentoring Students (BAMS) program, the Bailey College Career Fair, student innovation fellows and faculty-industry relationships that open doors for our graduates. Support student career readiness and help shape what comes next.

Student Scholarships

Scholarships are the foundation of student access in our college, removing financial barriers so talented and motivated students can focus on learning, research and discovery. Donors can direct support based on merit, financial need, first-generation status, major or region, making every gift a personal investment in a student’s future. You can shift a struggling path toward a more positive direction where a student feels recognized and supported. Give today to ensure the brightest minds have the opportunity they deserve.
